Chak Coleman Wong is up against wild card Zhizhen Zhang in the first round of the Hangzhou Open. Wong has had some impressive results on this surface in 2026 and takes on an opponent who has lost five of his last six matches. Our prediction here is a win for Wong.

For the winner, there's a second round match against either fifth seed Adolfo Daniel Vallejo or wild card Cui Jie.

Chak Coleman Wong is the world number 108, 60 places above his opponent. This is an outdoor hard court tournament and Wong has a 33-20 record on this surface in 2026. Most of his wins have come on the Challenger Tour with one title won in May.

On the ATP Tour, he has reached two quarter-finals and the last four in Los Cabos. 

The one previous meeting between these players was won by Wong earlier this year and had more than 21.5 games.

Zhizhen Zhang could do with a win here. He's lost five of his last six matches on all surfaces. His one victory was over Tyler Zink who's outside the top 300 in the world.

This year has seen him play 18 outdoor hard court matches, but he has only won eight of them.
