West Ham United come into this semifinal having just beaten Manchester United 1-0 at home in the Premier League. That has taken them to 15th in the table, seven points clear of the relegation zone with only three games remaining. Their relegation worries have certainly been eased despite losing the three games before beating Manchester United.  Home form has saved them this season with only two of the last 11 in all competitions and those were to Newcastle United and Liverpool. West Ham won all six of their Europa Conference League group games and in the knockout stages have had wins over AEK Larnaca and Gent. They have won 11 out of 12 games in this season's Europa Conference League, the only one not won was at Gent in the last eight. All six home fixtures have been won with 15 goals scored and four conceded.

AZ Alkmaar are fourth in the Dutch Eredvisie which will see them back in the Europa Conference League next season. They are battling hard to catch third placed Ajax and get into the Europa League. They'll get there of course if winning this competition. AZ are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions without a goal being conceded. Their most recent match saw them draw 0-0 at Ajax and their form on the road is not impressive at present. Only one of their last four away games has been won with three matches being lost. In the Europa Conference League this season, After an away qualifying loss to Dundee United, AZ won their group by five points but did lose away at Apollon Limassol. The last 16 saw improvement with a couple of 2-1 wins over Lazio but it was a struggle to get past Anderlecht in the last eight.
