Sunday’s Autumn Nations Series action gets underway with Wales taking on Fiji at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. The Dragons are 11th in the Rugby World Rankings, while the Flying Fijians are one spot above them in 10th. Let’s get into the match prediction.
This year has been one of the worst for Welsh rugby in recent memory, as they ended bottom of the table at the Six Nations and failed to win any of their July Internationals.
As a result, the Dragons are now on a nine-match losing streak dating back to last year’s Rugby World Cup. The team has only gone 10 losses in a row once in their history between 2002 and 2003.
Wales have lost their last three matches at this venue but have beaten this opponent in each of their last six on home soil.
Meanwhile, Fiji have been one of the most progressive teams this year and earned their sixth Pacific Nations Cup title in September, beating Japan 41-17 in the final.
The Flying Fijians began their Autumn Internationals last weekend against Scotland and lost 57-17, though it is worth noting that they were forced to field a second-string side due to player unavailability.
On the road, Fiji have won two and lost three of their last five matches, but they do have a full squad at their disposal this time around, which could be telling.
