Arguably the pick of the quarter-final matches at the Paris 2024 Olympics Women’s Volleyball competition will see the USA facing Poland on Wednesday evening. Team USA came second in Pool A while the White and Reds finished second in Pool B. Let's jump into the match prediction.
The USA fought hard to secure an automatic qualification spot as they held off Serbia and France to claim six points in their three group-stage matches.
Team USA kicked off the tournament with a 3-2 loss to China but bounced back impressively to beat Serbia 3-2 in match two before easing past host nation France 3-0 in the final match of the group.
With those results, the US now have a record of seven wins and three losses in their last 10 matches in all competitions. However, they have lost their last three matches against their upcoming opponents.
Meanwhile, Poland entered the tournament as one of the favourites, and while they are still in contention for a medal, they were no match for the mighty Brazilians during the group stage.
Still, they made fairly light work of Japan and Kenya, beating them 3-1 and 3-0 respectively to set up a blockbuster showdown here against the defending champions.
The White and Red have a record of six wins and four losses in their last 10 games, and they have not lost to this opponent since June 2023 at the Nations League.
