Carabao Cup holders Liverpool travel to Tottenham for this semi-final first leg. Tottenham will be going all out to get a good lead to take to Anfield for the second leg. Can out-of-form Tottenham do that though? Here's our match prediction.
Tottenham are down to 12th in the Premier League after a terrible run of form. Winning a cup competition this season may be their best chance of playing in European football next season. Spurs lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle (who play Arsenal in the other semi-final) on Saturday.
That made it three defeats in their last four matches. It's a run that began with a 6-3 home loss to Liverpool last month. They have only beaten Southampton and Manchester United in their last 11 matches with just one win in eight at home.
Liverpool trailed and led against Manchester United on Sunday and ended up drawing 2-2. That extended their unbeaten run to 24 games since losing at home to Nottingham Forest in September.
The Reds have won their last four away games with 11 goals in the last two. They are yet to lose an away game under new boss Arne Slot and are unbeaten in 16 games. We tip Liverpool to win this first leg.
