Tottenham return to Premier League action with a home game against Bournemouth. They are only 13th in the table and it's the visitors who are seventh and still dreaming of European football next season. Can the Cherries get an important away win? Read our match prediction.

Spurs lost 1-0 at AZ in Thursday's Europa League last 16 first leg match. The return home leg is being played in midweek and that remains their best hope of European football next season. They are 11 points behind the top six and getting into the European qualification places is a massive task.

Bournemouth could even be in the Champions League next season. It's looking likely a fifth place finish will see an English side qualify. The Cherries are only three points behind Newcastle who are fifth and are also in the FA Cup quarter-finals. They need to get back into winning ways in the Premier League though.

Tottenham - Bournemouth: Form Analysis

Tottenham come into this match having lost both of their last two fixtures. A 1-0 home loss to Manchester City was followed by another defeat by that scoreline at AZ on Thursday. Just what are their priorities at the moment?

The Lilywhites are only 13th in the Premier League and unlikely to qualify for Europe via their final position. It's the Champions League or bust for them if they can manage to win the Europa League this season. Will they concentrate on the second leg against AZ rather than this league match?

Tottenham are struggling at home.

Tottenham have only won five home league games this season, losing seven. They had shown some improved form with three league wins in a row before losing to City. However, only one of their last nine home Premier League matches has been won with three of the last four lost.

Dominik Solanke is a doubt for this match. The former Bournemouth striker has had a disappointing first season with Tottenham and picked up another injury aganst AZ on Thursday.  He'd been out for seven weeks before coming on as a late sub against AZ but sustained an ankle injury.

Fans were upset with the way Tottenham played in their Europa League match. Spurs didn't have a shot on target and need to put on an improved performance against Bournemouth. Radu Dragusin and Dejan Kulusevski will both miss this game.

The absence of the latter will be a big blow for the home side and boost Bournemouth's chances of controlling midfield. Ben Davies, Micky Van de Ven and Cristian Romero may make his return this weekend

Bournemouth can't stop scoring in away games.

The visitors have only failed to score at least two goals in one of their last nine away Premier League games. They will again prove to be a big offensive threat on Sunday and could prosper against an often fragile Tottenham defence.

Illa Zabamyi is still suspended but they will have Julian Araujo available as he's recovered from his hamstring surgery.
