Tamara Zidansek, a lucky loser at the Transylvanian Open, has progressed to the second round, where she is set to face third seed Sorana Cirstea. This is their second career meeting and comes five years after the first. Read on for our prediction of this match. 

Zidansek made a winning return to the tournament after being eliminated during the qualifying rounds. The Slovenian defeated the unseeded Veronika Erjavec in straight sets with five games lost. 

Now up nine places to 144th in the live ranking, Zidansek has won eight of 11 matches, though she has managed just one win at tour level. 

Cirstea lost to Zidansek in the fourth round at the 2021 French Open. Though it's been a long time since, she will be eager to even things out this week. Cirstea defeated Kamila Rakhimova in the first round in straight sets. 

She won by the loss of eight games to claim her first-ever victory in her home country event. The Romanian had lost in the first round in both of her appearances here before this week. 

Now with six wins in eight outings this season, the world number 36 has produced a second-round finish in Melbourne and a third-round exit in Brisbane.
