Sweden - Great Britain: Form Analysis
Sweden produced a spirited effort in their opening match of the 2025 EuroBasket, but were left empty-handed, as they were unable to match the strength of the tournament’s host nation, Germany.
Blagult were set on the back foot early in the game and were down 27-16 by the end of the first quarter. They trailed by as many as 18 at one point but managed to close the gap to 13 by the final buzzer.
However, the margin of defeat was not an entirely accurate reflection of the match, as Sweden showed plenty of fight and had gotten as close as six points in the third quarter.

While Germany notched up the win yesterday, one player who certainly caught the eye for Sweden was Frida Eldebrink, who ended as the top scorer in the match with 22 points in 32 minutes.
The veteran guard shot 8 of 18 from the field, including three threes, while Klara Lundquist drained 17 points and three assists. She was also excellent on the boards, grabbing 10 rebounds.
