Slovenia and Poland will meet in the semi-finals at the 2026 European Championships on Friday afternoon. The White and Reds are the defending European champions, and our prediction is that they will come out on top in this one. 

Slovenia are hoping to go a step better than their bronze medal in this competition in the last edition. They finished second in Pool A with a 3-2 record and 10 points in their five matches. 

They then defeated Serbia 3-0 and Belgium 3-1 in the round of 16 and quarter-finals, respectively. Rok Mozic was the top scorer in the last match with 18 points, including 15 kills and three blocks. 

Slovenia have won nine of their last 15 matches across all competitions, but have lost five of their last six encounters against this opponent. 

Meanwhile, Poland lost just one match in Pool B, but that was their final fixture, and it came after they had already clinched top spot. They finished with 13 points and lost just three sets. 

The White and Reds stormed into the final four with straight-sets victories over Latvia and Germany. Wilson Leon top-scored with 17 points against Germany, all of which came off attacks. 

Poland have won 23 of their last 24 matches across all competitions, a period during which they beat this opponent twice at the Nations League and the Hubert Wagner Memorial.
