Pool A action at the 2026 European Championships continues with Slovenia taking on Greece on Monday. Slovenia have won their last two matches against this opponent, and our prediction is that they will win this one as well. 

Slovenia entered this competition as one of the leading contenders in Pool A, and they have backed up that status, winning both their matches against Slovakia and Sweden in straight sets. 

Nik Mujanovic was by far the team’s standout performer in the last match, scoring 17 points, including one ace and one block. Jan Kozamernik added 11 points with one block and an ace. 

Slovenia have won six of their last 10 matches in all competitions, as well as four of their last five against their upcoming opponent. 

Meanwhile, Greece have endured a tough start to this competition, losing their opening match of EuroVolley 3-1 to the Czech Republic before going down to Italy in straight sets on Saturday. 

The Greeks only managed 44% attacking efficiency in their last match and a disappointing 38% positive reception. Alexandros Raptis was the only player to finish the match in double digits. 

Greece have split their last 10 matches, five wins and five defeats. Their last victory against this opponent was back in 2016 at the World League.
