Sevilla look to move further away from the relegation zone with a home win over tenth placed Celta Vigo.  Before this round, the hosts are 13th but only four points above the bottom three. As for the visitors, they are in 10th spot and have a four-point advantage over their hosts. Sevilla earned a crucial 2-0 win over Cadiz in the last round to earn a bit of relief  With two wins from their last three matches, there’s a sense of being that the tide has turned but the home team can’t relax. A loss here could see them come closer to the relegation zone and with the margins being so tight this season, that is something they can’t afford. While the upcoming Europa League quarter-final first leg against Manchester United is a distraction, they can’t let the guard down. Thankfully, they have won five of their last six league matches at home giving them a strong base to work on.

Celta were held to a 2-2 draw by relegation-threatened Almeria in their last round, although extending their unbeaten run. The visitors are now unbeaten in six matches in La Liga, winning and drawing three each. It's going to be a struggle to qualify for Europe though with a gap of nine points to the final qualification place. The reverse fixture was also a draw, back in December when Sevilla came back from a goal down to pick up a point in a 1-1 stalemate. Celta’s impressive recent record gives hope that they may have turned things around and pick up a win here. Their away form has certainly given them hope as Celta are unbeaten in four away league matches, winning and drawing two each.
