Serbia and Belgium will meet in the penultimate match in Pool C at the 2026 European Championships on Thursday evening. Both teams may consider rotation here, which sees us favouring the points market over an outright winner for our main prediction.
Serbia booked their place in the Final round of this year’s EuroVolley after beating Denmark 3-2 on Thursday. They have also beaten Estonia and the Netherlands in this competition, while losing to Finland.
The Serbians showed their resilience in the last match, coming back from two sets down to beat the Danes. Veljko Masulovic delivered a stunning performance, scoring 34 points, including three aces.
Serbia have now won five of their last six matches in all competitions, a notable improvement after losing five on the bounce prior to this period.
Meanwhile, Belgium have also secured their spot in the Final round of this competition. They have won three of their four games in Pool C, with the only smudge on their record being a loss to Finland.
In their last match, Belgium defeated Denmark 3-1. Ferre Reggers has been in stunning form this year and was the team’s standout performer in the last match, scoring 25 points, including six blocks.
Belgium have won six of their last 10 matches in all competitions, but they have not beaten Serbia since the 2017 World League.
