Casper Ruud will hope for a deep run in this last tournament before Roland Garros. He's the second seed in the Geneva Open and in round two is up against qualifier Sebastian Ofner. The winner goes into the last eight of this outdoor clay court tournament and will face either fifth seed Sebastian Baez or unseeded Roberto Carballes Baena. Ruud is chasing a record third win in the Geneva Open and won this title in both 2021 aand 2022. He's seventh in the rankings and fourth in the Live ATP Race. He's won one title this year and that was the Barcelona clay court tournament played in April. He had to play five matches to win that tournament and didn't drop a set all week. Since then, he's reached the last 16 in Madrid but lost in his first match in Rome, so a good performance in Geneva would be a big confidence boost.

Sebastian Ofner is up to 43rd in the live rankings and 76th place in the ATP Race. He had to qualify to get into the main draw and justified top seeding by winning two matches in straight sets. That took him into a first round match against Rinky Hijikata and he had to come from a set down to get the win. Ofner has only had one previous match against Ruud and that was on clay last year with him losing in straight sets.The Austrian had lost his last three matches before this tournament. Earlier this year he played on the South American clay court swing but lost all three of his matches. We tip Ruud to win this match without dropping a set.
