SAO Paulo vs Internacional Prediction & Betting Tips - Brasileirão Serie A

Sao Paulo will host Internacional on Sunday in the Brazilian Serie A looking to halt their wobbly start to the season and surge up the standings. Sao Paulo are in eighth place in the table with four points, three below fourth-placed Internacional. After three rounds of play, Sao Paulo have already registered all three possible results. They started the campaign with a 2-1 loss to league leaders Botafogo and responded by taking advantage of America Mineiro’s early season woes, thumping the bottom club 3-0 in their first match at home. Dorival Junior’s charges were however unable to build on this as they played to a one-all draw with Coritiba in their last league match. Tricolor Paulista have had to juggle playing in three competitions in a hectic start to the season as they have been involved in the Copa do Brasil as well as the Copa Sudamericana. They drew 0-0 away to Coritiba last time out to end their winning start to their Sudamericana group but still remain top after three matches.

Internacional have also had to navigate their way in three tournaments since the start of the domestic league season. Mano Menezes’ men have also been involved in the domestic cup (Copa do Brasil) as well as in the Copa Libertadores where unfortunately their continental start has been as impressive as Sao Paulo’s. Though unbeaten in their group, Inter have found it hard to win matches and have only registered one victory and sit second, one point above third place. They have fared a bit better in the league where they are also unbeaten (one of four teams yet to lose) with two wins and just two points adrift of top spot. After starting the league season with a 1-1 draw with Fortaleza, The Colorado have responded with back-to-back wins and will be eager to keep this going for as long as they can. Inter were held to a 2-2 at home by Nacional in the Copa Libertadores earlier in the week and will hope Sao Paulo having to travel to Colombia for midweek action unsettles their preparations for Sunday’s clash.
