Rennes will be looking to arrest their drop in Ligue 1 when they play host to Ligue 1 leaders PSG in their next league game. A loss in their last outing leaves Rennes fourth in the league standings with 34 points, 13 behind PSG who are top of the standings. Rennes suffered a 2-1 loss away to Clermont in their last outing, their second defeat in three league matches, and they are now five points off the Champions League qualification spot. One area they will have to address ahead of this game is their defence. In the game against Angers, Hugo Ekitike scored again – his fourth goal in five matches and will be contesting for a starting berth again in a team with seasoned forwards. The Parisians have lost just once in the league this season and it goes without saying they are the favorites here. Two goals or more in six of their last seven league matches paints that picture of their dominance but both teams have scored in four of their last six Ligue 1 games. Six of the seven league matches have produced over 2.5 goals and they have just one loss in 13 away league matches.
