Reading vs Blackburn Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Reading rallied to secure one point against Bournemouth in their last outing in the Championship and they will be eyeing the same when they host promotion chasing Blackburn Rovers. The two sides are on extreme ends in the Championship standings with hosts Reading in 21st place with 30 points and Blackburn are fourth with 61 points. For Reading, the target is to open a gap ahead of the teams in the relegation zone. Currently, they are two points to the good, coming from a 1-1 draw with promotion contenders Bournemouth. They came from down in that game with a late goal from Thomas Ince securing their first point in four league games. Reading have managed just two wins in the last 10 Championship matches. At home, Reading have managed just one win in the last 12 matches; they’ve lost eight of these. In five of their last seven matches, they’ve conceded two or more goals.

Blackburn bounced back in their last game, with a second half blitz past relegation-threatened Derby County, that saw them secure a 3-1 win after going to the break trailing. It was Blackburn’s first win in four matches and indeed the first time they scored in those four matches. Twice in the last five matches they’ve managed to keep clean sheets and they will be hoping for an improvement to their away form. The visitors have scored no goal and registered no win in their last six away matches, losing four of them. Their most recent away game ended in a 2-0 loss at the hands of league leaders Fulham. In the last six meetings between these two sides, each has registered three wins but going into this one, Blackburn beat Reading 2-0 in the first meeting this season.
