The Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs are set to lock horns at Moda Center in an NBA Cup group stage clash. The Blazers are in ninth place in the Western Conference standings, while the Spurs are in fifth place. Here's our match prediction. 

The Portland Trail Blazers are not doing well at the moment, with inconsistency their biggest enemy over the past weeks. The team comes into this match with a 2-5 record in their last seven games. 

Last time out, the Blazers secured their second win in three games with a 115-103 road victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jerami Grant was the best player on the court, leading the team with a game-high 35 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Deni Avdija contributed 22 points, while Donovan Clingan posted a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

The San Antonio Spurs, on the other hand, saw their three-match winning streak in the NBA come to an end after a 111-102 road defeat against the Phoenix Suns. 

Despite their setback against the Suns, De'Aaron Fox still put up an impressive performance, leading the team with a game-high 26 points.

The Spurs now turn their attention to the group stage of the NBA Cup. Already two games in, they have a balanced 1-1 record. Their last match against the Warriors ended in a 109-108 home defeat.
