A blockbuster match between the Northern and Southern hemisphere pits Ospreys against Lions in the Challenge Cup. Below we have a prediction for this Sunday match.
The two United Rugby Championship (URC) sides come into the match struggling to fire on all cylinders. The Welsh side has posted a torrid start to the season, which has left them 14th on the log with 11 points from seven games.
This has been down to winning just two games all season and one in their last five matches. Toby Booth’s men hit a new low last time out after falling 22-17 to fellow URC strugglers Zebre Parma.
Lions are enjoying a decent season in the URC, sitting fifth on the log with 19 points from six games. Their good work was, however, undone in recent matches after suffering back-to-back losses to Irish sides Munster and Leinster.
In their recent defeat to Munster, Lions failed to register a single point in the second half as the hosts secured a comeback victory. Ahead of the clash, Lions have sent home 12 players with one eye on upcoming tougher tests against Section Paloise and Stomers.
Among the 12 include Edwill van der Merwe, fullback Quan Horn, centre Henco van Wyk, tighthead Asenathi Ntlabakanye, and hooker PJ Botha.
