Matchday two of the 2024-25 Europa League will get underway this week with Olympiakos taking on Braga at Karaiskakis Stadium on Thursday evening. Thrylos are way down in 32nd place in the League Phase standings, while Os Arsenalistas are 13th after the first round of matches. Check out our match prediction below!

Olympiakos kicked off their European campaign with a tough fixture away to Lyon, which they lost 2-0 despite putting on a spirited performance in the first half of the encounter. 

However, they bounced back from that defeat well, overcoming Atromitos 2-0 on Sunday, which took them to second place in the Super League 1 standings, one point off current leaders AEK Athens. 

This week’s fixture will feel like a must-win for Olympiakos, back on their home patch where they’ve not conceded defeat this season, winning two and drawing one of their three games so far. 

Meanwhile, following a few poor performances on either side of the international break, Braga will enter this contest with solid momentum, especially after their thrilling comeback win over Maccabi Tel Aviv last week. 

Os Arsenalistas were excellent over the weekend too, dispatching Rio Ave 4-0 at home in the league, marking their third consecutive win in the space of just 10 days. 

The visitors will now look to extend that run on the road, where they have been very good this season, unbeaten in six games in all competitions, winning four and drawing two.
