Their FA Cup dreams faded away at the weekend and now Forest return to the Premier League. They are sixth in the Premier League and on Thursday evening are home to 11th-placed Brentford. Can the Reds get three vital points? Here's our match prediction.
It's been an incredible season for Forest but they still have work to do to reach the Champions League. Forest are behind the final qualifying position on goal difference but have this game in hand. Beating Brentford will take them up to third in the table with four league games to play.
Brentford still have an outside chance of securing European football next season. The Bees have a five point gap to make up though and a loss in this match will make it even more difficult for them to qualify. As you will read in the form section of this preview, they are unbeaten in their last three league games.

Nottingham Forest - Brentford: Form Analysis
The weekend saw Forest lose 2-0 to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals. They had lost two successive Premier League games before a 2-1 win away at Tottenham. Their run-in isn't too difficult with only one top-ten side to face.
That happens in their last game of the season when hosting Chelsea. They'd love to have a Champions League place confirmed by then. Forest have won nine home league games and had been unbeaten in nine before losing 1-0 to Everton.
Forest have the best home defensive record in the Premier League.
With just 11 goals conceded at the City Ground, the Reds have the best home defensive record in the Premier League. Four clean sheets have been kept in their last five home league matches.
Brentford are five points behind the European qualification positions. They are unbeaten in their last three league games but two have been drawn. Only one of the last four in the Premier League has been won.
At the start of the season, the Bees had an appalling away league record. That has been turned around though and they won five consecutive away league matches. They need to return to that form as only one point has been earned from the last two.

Nottingham Forest & Brentford Squad Analysis
Nottingham Forest have to forget the FA Cup loss to Manchester City. They need to get back into winning ways immediately and boost their chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Suspended duo are available again.
Both Ryan Yates and Neco WIlliams missed their last game due to suspension but are expected to return on Thursday. Another important return for the Reds could be Anthony Elanga. He's fit again and has scored some vital goals for Forest this season.
Their only main injury problem seems to be Ola Aina. Forest have an impressive defensive record at the City Ground and they do miss the full-back. The form of his replacement Harry Toffolo has softened the blow however.
Brentford have several injury problems ahead of this Premier League game. Fabio Carvalho, Yunus Emre Konak and Josh Dasilva are all doubts for this match. The Bees will again be relying on Mbuemo and Wissa for goals. The pair have scored four in their last two fixtures.
