The Netherlands and the Czech Republic will face off in the quarter-final of the 2025 World Cup of Darts on Sunday afternoon. The winner of this match will meet either Wales or Hong Kong in the semi-final. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Despite MVG’s withdrawal ahead of the competition, the Netherlands have arguably been the most impressive team in the World Cup up to this point.
Gian van Veen has been excellent on debut, and together with Danny Noppert, they recorded the biggest win of round two, smashing number two seeds Scotland without dropping a single leg.
The Dutch duo averaged 100.20 and pinned two 180s against the Scots. They also produced a highest checkout of 130 and converted a solid 66.67 checkout attempts (8/12).
Meanwhile, the Czech Republic kept their 100% record in this year’s World Cup intact, beating Malaysia 8-3 in round two following wins over Chinese Taipei and India in the first round.

The Czechs have only ever faced the Netherlands once before in a World Cup, back in 2017, and they lost the match 5-1.
