Nassaji Mazandran will seek a clean sweep against Mumbai City when they host the two teams’ next AFC Champions League fixture. Mumbai sit bottom in Group D without a point after four matches while Nassaji are third. Nassaji Mazandaran joined Mumbai as the two sides to be eliminated from this group and will therefore be playing for pride here. They have lost three times so far but did win away in Mumbai and will hope to do so again as hosts. Mehdi Rahmati’s men have been in poor form and haven’t won since that 2-0 success in Mumbai back in September. They have lost seven of their last eight games. Nassaji were defeated 2-1 at home by Zob Ahan in the Pro League last time out. This was more than a fortnight ago.
Mumbai City have also gone weeks without a competitive fixture. Their last match came three weeks back as they lost 2-0 at home to Al Hilal in the Champions League. Their struggles have left them without a coach with Des Buckingham leaving his role earlier this month. Mumbai have fared a bit better than their soon-to-be hosts in recent fixtures. They have won twice in their last five games and will hope to take advantage of Nassaji's struggles.
