Napoli vs Fiorentina Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A

Napoli will return at home for their first game after claiming the Italian Serie A title when they play host to Fiorentina. Champions Napoli no longer have much to play for this season, but eighth placed Fiorentina will go into this game with dwindling hopes of European football from their league placing though they could still get there by winning the Coppa Italia or the Europa Conference League. Napoli’s last home game ended in an anticlimax after drawing 1-1 with Salernitana, a result that postponed their title celebrations. However, they made up for that with another 1-1 draw at Udinese in their most recent game, with Victor Osimhen scoring the equalizer to confirm Napoli as champions. Napoli’s momentum has slowed down in recent matches and they have just one win in their last six matches. They are however unbeaten in the last five matches, four of which have ended in draws, and they’ve only failed to score once in the last five games. At home, Napoli have no win in the last four matches, one of them a 4-0 loss to AC Milan.

Fiorentina, just like Napoli, were forced to come from behind to draw in their last game, only that they had to do it three times in a six goal thriller away to Salernitana. That 3-3 draw was the third straight undefeated game for Fiorentina but after conceding three times in three of their last five matches, they will not be very confident about their defending. Fiorentina are still battling on two more fronts; they are in the Coppa Italia final and Europa Conference League semifinal. The gains in the cup competitions will be more than in the league and we expect the visitors to rest key players for this game. This is also in regard to the fact that they don’t seem likely to finish above eighth. In the last six matches, Fiorentina have managed just one win and they’ve drawn three of their last five league games. They come into this game without a win in the last two away matches.
