A blockbuster match will be on the cards when Munster welcome Saracens to Thomond Park in Saturday’s Champions Cup match. The Red Army and the Sarries will be looking to go top of the group courtesy of a win. Read on for our prediction below.
Munster have posted inconsistent results this campaign, which includes a three-game losing streak. Their patchy form has also spilled over to the Champions Cup, where they have won once and lost as many matches.
The Irish side opened their European campaign with a 33-7 victory over a struggling Stade Francais Paris side. The hosts, however, lost their next encounter, going down 16-14 to Castres Olympique which left them third.
Saracens are enjoying an impressive run of form that has them second in Group 3, just a point below table-toppers Northampton Saints.
Joe Shaw’s men have posted a 100% start to their Champions Cup season with wins over the Bulls and Stade Francais Paris. This sort of form gives the record English champions in the tournament hope to recapture the title they last won in 2019.
On the domestic front, the Sarries are also having a fine campaign as they sit third on the log with 34 points from 10 matches.
