Monaco welcomes Lyon to the Stade Louis II for this match in the French Ligue 1. The home team are currently in 10th place with eight points while the visitors are in 4th position with 13 points. Monaco come into this match on the back of two consecutive 1-0 wins, one victory coming in the Europa League and the other in the league against Nice. Both victories have come in away matches as they still look for their first win at home. Monaco have conceded four goals in consecutive home matches for the first time in their history. This league season they have been very inconsistent with two wins, two draws and two losses. Monaco are looking for successive league wins for the first time this season. They have lost two and drawn one of their three home matches so far.

Lyon were surprisingly humbled 3-1 in a midweek match against Lorient in the league. It was their first league loss of the season and due to this defeat they missed the opportunity to go joint top of league. They are now three points behind Marseille and champions PSG who lead the table with 16 points. Lyon will be confident of bouncing back in this match as they last lost back to back league matches in 2019. They have however played two away matches this season, drawing one and losing the other. Lyon have the third best defensive record in the league, conceding just seven goals this season.
