Felix Auger-Aliassime faces American qualifier Maxime Cressy on Monday. This is a first round match in the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam. It's an ATP 500 indoor hard court tournament and a good run for either player can see them boost their rankings. The winner will face a potentially difficult second round match against either qualifier Zizou Bergs or most likely the second seed Andrey Rublev. Auger-Aliassime begins this tournament at 28th in the live rankings. He'll want to keep in the top 32 and ensure a seeding in the next Grand Slam. The Canadian got to the last 32 of the Australian Open, losing to Daniil Medvedev in straight sets. He showed better form in Montpellier where a quarter final was reached but then lost in the last 32 in Marseille. Consistency is what he needs to find and rediscover the form that won him the Swiss Indoors Championship last year.

Maxime Cressy is down at 128th in the last ranking list but is now 170th in the live list. He's dropped down the rankings after losing the points earned when losing in the Marseille final last year. It's not been a great start to the year for the American. He failed to qualify for the main draw of the Brisbane International and the Australian Open. Moving down to the Challenger Tour he reached the quarter final in Quimper. Returning to the ATP Tour he qualified in Marseille but lost in the first round to Arthur Rinderknech after winning the first set. He also had to qualify for this tournament and in his first match got revenge on Rinderknech and then came from a set down to beat Pablo Llamas Ruiz to reach this main draw.
