Matteo Berrettini vs Jaume Munar Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Grand Prix Hassan II

Matteo Berrettini takes on Jaume Munar for a place in the Grand Prix Hassan II quarter finals. Both players are unseeded and the winner will take on either fourth seed Lorenzo Sonego or unseeded Sumit Nagal in the last eight. Berrettini is playing only his third tournament of the year. He's again been having injury and illness problems. So far in 2024, he's got to the final of a hard court Challenger Tour event and lost in round one at Indian Wells. He was ranked 135th at the start of this tournament and earned his place in the main draw due to his protected ranking. Round one saw him beat sixth seeded Alexander Shevchenko for the loss of only three games. He's now up to 132nd in the live rankings and a win over Munar could take him as high as 123rd. Berrettini is a former quarter finalist at Roland Garros and has previously reached the final in Madrid.

Jaume Munar is the world number 73 but up to 70th in the live rankings. He also had a straight sets win in the first round of this Marrakech tournament. Munar beat fellow unseeded player Luis Van Assche but had to go to a tie-break in the first set. Munar played four tournaments on this year's South American clay court tour. He reached the last eight in both Cordoba and Santiago. Last year saw him make it to the fourth round in the clay court Madrid Open. This could be a close match but we tip Berrettini to get the victory.
