Lyon welcomes Nice to the Parc Olympique Lyonnais for this match in the French Ligue 1. The home team are currently in 8th spot with 20 points while the visitors are a spot below with a point less. Lyon come into this match on the back of a 1-0 away loss to Marseille in their last match. The loss ended a run of two consecutive league wins. They will be desperate to pick up three points in this match as they are already seven points behind the European qualification spots. Lyon are in the midst of a dismal run which has seen them win just two of their last nine league matches with six losses and a draw. They have dropped a massive 20 points during this barren streak. Lyon have however been very good at home, losing just one of their seven matches.

Nice had an excellent 1-0 win over Brest in their last match which was their second victory on the trot. They have hit a purple patch at the moment as they are unbeaten in their last six matches with three wins and three draws. They are also enjoying a great run in the Europa Conference League where they have qualified for the knockout stage as group winners.The one area Nice will be hoping for an improvement is their attack as they have only managed 14 goals this season which is the joint second lowest goals tally in the league.
