There’s some remarkable stability in Lyon’s season and they’ll be eyeing more of that when they host Nantes on Sunday. Les Gones and Les Canaris face off at the Groupama Stadium with three points at stake. Follow on for our prediction of this match. 

After two consecutive away matches, Lyon will be glad to return home. They did well in those matches, and come here on a run of three straight wins. The last time Lyon won four straight matches was in the closing stages of last season. 

In their current shape, it is hard to imagine Lyon won once in their opening five games. They are coming here buoyed by a 4-1 away win against Rangers in the Europa League. 

Nantes will come into this game looking to make use of their extended rest, having had no midweek activity. The visitors will also be seeking a return to winning ways after the last three matches didn’t go to plan. 

For the more positive away fans, one loss only so far represents a good run. However, from six league matches ahead of this, they only managed two wins. 

One of the said wins came away from home and Nantes won’t mind adding to that tally. Antoine Kombouare will be disappointed by how his charges have handled the recent matches. 

In their last three outings, Nantes led but could only get two points from a possible nine. The most recent of those was a 2-2 draw with Saint-Etienne in a game they led 2-0.
