As the Ligue 1 enters matchday 28, seventh placed Lyon will be hosting Lille, who start the weekend in fifth place. Sitting just two points apart, both these teams have shown signs of struggling at this crucial stage of the season. Check out our prediction of the match below.

Lyon spurned the chance to go fourth in the league after losing 4-2 to Strasbourg last time out. Instead, they dropped to seventh, showing just how congested it is at the top there.

Only five points separate second placed Monaco and Lyon. The loss last time out halted Lyon’s five-match winning streak in all competitions.

Lille will hope to add to their hosts’ woes, coming from a win in their last match. Les Dogues beat Lens 1-0 to return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats.
