Champions League hopefuls Lens will travel to the Groupama Stadium to take on an in-form Lyon side on Sunday in a crucial Ligue 1 encounter. The visitors have suffered a dip in form recently, having not won any of their last three matches. In their last match, Lens played out a 1-1 draw against Brest which was their third draw in their last six matches, along with two wins and a loss. Their away record has been fairly good, though, losing only one of eleven matches, including three wins and seven draws. Lens has not been defeated on the road in their last six matches (2 wins and 4draws), with their last away loss coming in October 2022. Lens won the reverse fixture 1-0 in October and will be hoping to complete the double over this opponent with another solid display on the road.
Lyon extended their recent good form to three matches without defeat after overcoming Troyes 3-1 in their last match. The hosts are ninth in Ligue 1, with 32 points in 22 matches, eight points behind Rennes in fifth, and two clear of Reims below them. Over their last six matches, Lyon has recorded two wins, two losses, and two draws, while their home record for this season shows five wins, three draws, and three losses in eleven. However, Lyon has not won at home since November, managing two draws and two losses since then and will be hoping to bring that record to and end with a win in front of their home fans.
