by Ian John in Championship Predictions
Championship action returns to Kenilworth Road on Friday night as struggling Luton Town host a West Brom side without a win in six. Can the Hatters get back to winning ways in front of their home fans, or will the Baggies take advantage of the home side’s leaky defence? Here’s our prediction for this key match.
Luton boss Rob Edwards is very much feeling the pressure. Two successive defeats, 2-1 at home to Sunderland and a 3-2 loss at the weekend at Coventry, has left Luton in 22nd place in the table.
Yet before that loss to Sunderland, Luton had gone three games at home without defeat, winning two and drawing one. Defensive issues though have been a problem with Luton scoring ten but conceding eleven in their home games.
Fifth-placed West Brom come into this game on the back of four straight draws, three of which have been by a 0-0 scoreline. The Baggies are without a win in six and they will be desperate to end that poor run here.
They have a great chance to do so given Luton’s poor defensive record and the fact that WBA have scored eleven of their 13 league goals away from home this season.
They landed a second consecutive 0-0 draw at the weekend at home to Cardiff, which followed the same result away to Blackburn Rovers in midweek.

Our Luton Town vs West Brom Prediction
Our prediction for the Luton Town vs. West Bromwich Albion match in the Championship is: Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals.
Both teams badly need a win here, but the data suggests this is a game which could see plenty of goals. Luton's home matches have generated more than three goals per game this season, West Brom's majority of goals scored have come on the road. Picking a winner may be tough here, but the data strongly suggests that backing both to score and over 2.5 goals is the bet to make.
