Liverpool are back home after their tour of the USA. This Sunday sees them playing their first match of the season at Anfield as they host Monaco. The Reds have won two of their three pre-season friendlies and our prediction is they can defeat Monaco.
It'll be the first game on home soil for their new coach Andoni iraola and Liverpool will want to get off to a good start at Anfield. Last season saw them finish fifth in the English Premier League table and they conceded far too many goals to try and retain their title successfully.
The home fans won't have Salah and Robertson to cheer anymore but they have made a reasonable start in their pre-season friendlies.
Wins have come against both Wrexham and Sunderland. It looked like being three wins for them but a 2-0 lead over Leeds United turned into a 4-2 loss. All the goals were conceded in the second half after mass substitutions had been made
Monaco finished seventh in Ligue 1 last season .They have played four friendlies to date with a couple of wins over Saint Prest and most recently Getafe. Cercle Brugge held them to a 2-2 draw and they were beaten 1-0 by SCP on July 25..
