As expected, the top two countries in this FIBA World Basketball Cup group have qualified for the second round. Both Lithuania and Australia have won their opening two games and now battle it out to see who will finish top. The two countries will be up against France and the Dominican Republic in the next group stage. Lithuania are ranked sixth in the world and have won both of their games with a points difference of +77 compared to that of +29 for Australia. They started this group with a 101-47 hammering of Senegal. It was a tougher game against Canada but they still ran out winners by 23 points. They won three of the four quarters against the Canadians including winning the first quarter by 10 points.

Australia are ranked 11th and also have two wins out of two. They took on Canada in their opening game and ran out winners by 16 points. Senegal put up a much better performance against the Australians and they were only five points down at one stage in the third quarter. Australia won that match by 13 points in the end. The tip here is for Lithuania to show their superiority over Australia and get the win here.
