Interim coach Zsolt Low will hope for a positive start as Leipzig hosts Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga matchday 28 on Saturday. This match at Red Bull Arena between the sixth-placed Die Roten Bullen and the 14th-placed Die Kraichgauer comes with our prediction of at least a point for the away team.

Leipzig start this round with 42 points and three away from the top four teams, although they are above Freiburg only on goal difference. Hoffenheim’s 27 points put them five above the relegation playoff spot.

A 3-1 midweek defeat at Stuttgart in the DFB Pokal semis ended Leipzig’s hopes of silverware this season. All that remains is a chance to finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League next season.

That would need some consistent results, but Leipzig had just two league wins across 11 recent games. Even at this venue, they failed to win three of their last five league matches.

That could be a ray of hope for Hoffenheim, who could still be dragged into the relegation battle. A 1-1 home draw last week meant they were beaten in just one of the last six league matches.

Hoffenheim’s away form is impressive too, with four wins out of their last six trips in all competitions. That could be enough to win a point here.
