Inter Milan are back from midweek European action and will resume their Serie A campaign this weekend away to Lecce. They enter this matchday 22 tie sitting in second place in the standings and almost 30 points clear of lowly Lecce in 17th. Below is our prediction for this match.

Lecce are desperate for a win, and coming up against the high-flying defending champs should spur them on. Marco Giampaolo’s men have been one of the league’s whipping boys and have suffered 11 losses thus far.

They have amassed 20 points and sit just one point above the drop zone. The Giallorossi were hammered 4-1 away to Cagliari last weekend.

Inter haven’t lost any of their last seven encounters with Lecce and are on a five-match winning streak against their soon-to-be hosts.

With their dominant form this season, Simone Inzaghi’s men will be confident of earning another victory down South. The Nerazzurri, who have a game in hand, have accumulated 47 points and sit just three points off the pace.

They have won 14 of 20 fixtures and only once have they lost. Inter, who haven’t lost since September in the league, are coming off a 1-0 victory away to Sparta Prague in the Champions League.
