Laslo Djere vs Fabio Fognini Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Grand Prix Hassan II

Top seed Laslo Djere faces the qualifier Fabio Fognini in round two of the Grand Prix Hassan II tournament. For the winner, there's a quarter final match against either eighth seed Fabio Cobolli or unseeded Pavel Kotov. This is an ATP 250 outdoor clay court tournament and Djere will be confident of victory. He's played Fognini three times and two were on clay and both of them won. His only loss to the Italian was on grass at Wimbledon. Djere is currently ranked 34th in the world so will want to get into the top 32 and be seeded at Roland Garros. He's up to 33rd in the live rankings and a win here will take him into the top 32. This year has seen the Serb play two clay court tournaments in South America but lost in the last 16 in both Buenos Aires and Rio. This week sees him trying to win his third ATP Tour clay court title after successes in Brazil and Italy.

Fabio Fognini was ranked as high as ninth five years ago. He's slipped down the rankings and is currently the world number 100. He had to qualify to get into the main draw and both of his matches went to three sets. In his second qualifier against Lucas Miedler he had to come from a set down to win. That took him into a first round match against Hugo Gaston and again he found himself a set down before recovering to get the victory. Fognini is 101st in the live rankings as he's about to lose the points earned for getting to the last 16 in Estoril last April. We tip Djere to get the victory.
