Lech Poznan and Red Star Belgrade will lock horns in the first leg of the third qualifying round in the Champions League this Wednesday. The winner of this tie between Kolejorz and Zvezda will take on either Dynamo Kyiv or Pafos in the Playoff round. Check out our match prediction below.
After returning to the summit of Poland's Ekstraklasa last season, Lech Poznan are set to feature in Champions League qualifying for the first time since 2022-23. They have never reached the main draw of the competition.
However, Kolejorz made an incredible start to this campaign, crushing Breidablik 8-1 on aggregate, including a 7-1 victory here at Enea Stadion.
Veteran striker Mikael Ishak has made a blistering start to the season, scoring four goals against Breidablik, including a first-leg hat-trick, in addition to three goals in the domestic league competition.
Meanwhile. Red Star Belgrade are looking to make it to their third consecutive Champions League group stage. However, they will be hoping for a better showing this year, having failed to reach the knockout stages in either of those campaigns.
Zvezda also produced a commanding performance in their first qualifying round, beating Lincoln Red Imps 6-1 on aggregate. They have won all four games across all competitions this season.
After four games this season, the visitors have scored 17 goals, with Bruno Duarte and Mirko Ivanic both on four apiece, with the former netting in both games against the Imps.
