Sebastian Korda had a comfortable 6-3 6-4 win over unseeded Vit Kopriva in his opening match. That's taken his 2025 record to 12-10 for the year and seven of his 12 hard court matches have been won. He's now 83rd in the live rankings.

Korda's best results this year have seen him get to the final in Adelaide and the last eight in Miami, both hard court tournaments. He'll want as much time on court this week as possible because this is his first tournament since Roland Garros, picking up a stress fracture of a shin.

Kamil Majchrzak has already won two matches this week. He's beaten Nicolas Jarry in round one and then only lost four games when defeating seventh seed Sebastian Korda. He's in good form as present, having recently won a hard court Challenger Tour.

His two victories this week have seen the 29-year-old rise to a career-high 72nd. 

On the ATP Tour, he made it to round four at WImbldon. This is the first time he's maanged to make it past the first round in an ATP hard court tournament.
