Who will face a Belgian seed in the second round of the indoor hard court European Open in Brussels? Jan-Lennard Struff takes on fellow unseeded player Marcos Giron and the German is in the better form of the two. Giron has lost his last six matches and our prediction here is Struff wins.

The second round opponent for the winner will be the Belgian fourth seed Alexander Blockx.

Jan-Lennard Struff was 59th in the last rankings, 29 places above his American opponent. Struff has twice reached the quarter-finals of this tournament, but the last time was in 2018. He has won his last four first round matches. The last two tournaments he's played have both seen him lose in round two to Daniil Medvedev. He did take a set off the Russian in Shanghai.
