One tie away from the Europa League group phase, Jagiellonia Bialystok take on Ajax, with both teams eyeing an advantage ahead of the second leg in Amsterdam. This first-leg match of the Europa League playoffs will be played at the Białystok City Stadium on Thursday, and our prediction favors the visitors.

The winner of this tie moves to the group phase of the Europa League, while the loser will drop to the Conference League in the league phase round. Jagiellonia have already dropped to the Europa League from the Champions League, where they lost 5-1 to Bodo in the qualifying round, losing both legs. Those results made it three defeats in a row for the hosts. They conceded eight goals in their last two competitive matches, and that doesn’t augur well ahead of this match.
