Second placed Inter host out-of-form Milan who are fifth in the table. With Napoli 13 points clear at the top of Serie A, unless the leaders form collapses, the main interest is in who gets the remaining three Champions League places. Only three points separates second to sixth places and a win for Milan in this game will take them above their local rivals. Inter have won 13 of their games in Serie A this season but suffered six defeats with just one draw. That was on the road because at home, they have eight wins and two defeats. Just five home league goals have been conceded by Inter this season, that's the best home record in Serie A this season. Their most recent home league fixture saw them lose to Empoli but since then they've won at Cremonense and had a home win over Atalanta in the Italian Cup. This year has already seen these two teams face each other with Inter winning the Italian Super Cup final 3-0.

Milan have slipped to fifth in the table but are only behind fourth place on goal difference. They are not in good form though with just two points from their last four league games and that Super Cup loss. The away side have gone six games without a win and they are having serious defensive problems. Their last four games have seen 13 goals conceded and their most recent league match was a 5-2 home loss to Sassuolo who are 16th in Serie A. Away form has seen them win four matches in Serie A this seaso but their most recent fixture saw them beaten 4-0 at Lazio. Current form leads us to predict a home win here.
