The FA Cup week in England is here and among the games loading will be Fulham at home to Championship side Watford. The beauty of the FA Cup is the excitement brewed by teams from across the tiers facing off. Heading to this third-round match, we have the preview and a prediction.

Fulham, by virtue of playing in a higher league, will want to look at themselves as favorites. They are coming from an unbeaten run of eight matches but need an improvement, seeing that most of them are draws.

Their latest outing had Fulham rising from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Ipswich Town.

Watford didn’t have a great ending to 2024, and neither have they started 2025 in stellar fashion. The new year has already served them back-to-back losses, adding to their defeat at the close of 2024.

Their last five matches have badly impacted their season and promotion ambitions. The Hornets are coming from a 2-1 loss at home to Sheffield United, their third straight defeat and fourth in a span of five matches.

In that streak, taking a break from the Championship would be welcome. With a six-match unbeaten run against Fulham, Watford will want to continue from where they stopped in 2019.
