Newly crowned Coppa Italia Champions Bologna will look to push for a top-four place as they travel to Fiorentina in their penultimate match of the Serie A season on Sunday. This match between the ninth-placed La Viola and the seventh-placed Rossoblu comes with our prediction of an away win.

With 59 points, Fiorentina are three points outside European qualification places, the last of which is currently occupied by Bologna. They can still dream of qualifying for the Champions League, as only two points separate them from fourth.

A 2-1 away defeat to Venezia last weekend made it three defeats and a draw for Fiorentina. With their dreams shattered in the semi-final of the Conference League, they seem to have lost momentum.

Time’s running away if they want to qualify for Europe next season, and playing at home is a good omen. Fiorentina weren’t beaten in eight consecutive home games in all competitions, winning five.

Bologna edged AC Milan 1-0 on Wednesday in the final of the Coppa Italia, qualifying for next season’s Europa League. They can make it better with a win, as they start two points behind the fourth-placed Juventus.

Playing on the road won’t be an issue for Bologna, who have four wins from their last seven away matches.
