The final match of Friday’s afternoon session at the 2025 World Cup of Darts will see Finland taking on Argentina. Finland is the number 16 seed in the competition, while Argentina is unseeded. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Without a shadow of doubt, Finland were the biggest shock of their opening round, as they were completely outclassed by New Zealand and were handed a 4-0 annihilation to get their tournament started. 

The duo of Marko Kantele and Teemu Harju were outdone in every statistical category in the first match, including 180s thrown (3-0) and average score (85.89 to 71.83).

However, the biggest illustration of just how poor they were comes from looking at the checkout numbers, where New Zealand had 17 attempts, while Finland had one, and failed to convert it. 

Up next for Finland is Argentina, who are set to make their World Cup debut this year with the pairing of Jesus Salate and Victor Guillin. 

The Argentine duo earned their spot in the competition by winning the Latin American and Caribbean Qualifiers, beating Costa Rica’s Jason Calderon and Jonathan Quiros 7-2. 

Earlier in the qualifiers, the Argentines had taken down Guyana’s Norman Madhoo and Sudesh Fitgerald 6-2 following a deciding leg victory over Bahamas’ Lorenzo Deveaux and Rashad Sweeting.
