Real Betis will be looking to stay competitive against Espanyol and maintain their Champions League qualification hopes in a La Liga Matchday 34 fixture on Sunday. This match will be played at the RCDE Stadium between the 13th-placed Parakeets and the sixth-placed Los Verdiblancos, and our prediction is BTTS.

Espanyol’s 39 points have them seven points above the relegation zone and five points behind the top eight. Betis have 54 points and are just one point behind Villarreal, who currently occupy the last spot for Champions League qualification.

Espanyol were beaten 1-0 away by Villarreal last time out, ending their five-game unbeaten run in the league (W3, D2). This has taken them away from the relegation zone, and they should be reasonably safe from going down.

Espanyol remain a tough team to beat at home, as they are unbeaten across the last ten home league fixtures, although six were draws.

Betis won 2-1 at home against Fiorentina on Thursday in the first leg of the Conference League semis. The second leg trip to Florence is on the horizon, but the visitors know they also have a chance to finish in the top five.

Eight wins out of their last ten league games underline their strengths, as Betis look to extend their four-game unbeaten run on the road (W3, D1) in La Liga.
