Milan will be confident of a routine win when they travel to Empoli for their next Serie A match. The two sides square off on Saturday with Milan arriving in eighth place while Empoli are 16th. Read on for our prediction of this match.

Empoli haven't had things going their way in recent matches and will hope for some reprieve here. This, for a while, hasn’t been their favorite fixture though.

In the last nine meetings with Milan they are winless. The hosts are coming here straight off a 4-1 loss at Juventus, their sixth loss in eight matches and there’s no time to recover.

Empoli have, however, only failed to score once in 10 matches and this could be their weapon against Milan.

Milan have just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches, but with six wins in that run, they’ll care less. A 3-1 win over Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals was their latest result and they come into this game very confident.

That was the second time in four matches that they scored three times. Among the scorers in the game was new signing Joao Felix, as Milan bounced from two winless outings.

That win is the fuel they’ll want to use to address their away run, which reads two losses in the last two matches.
