Diane Parry vs Ann Li Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Monterrey Open

Diane Parry and fifth seed Ann Li will face off in the WTA Monterrey semi-finals to mark their third career meeting. This series is tied at 1-1 with Parry having won the most recent matchup at the 2026 French Open. Of their earlier meetings, Li won the only time they clashed on a hardcourt and our prediction here backs the same. Parry will be targeting a second straight win over Li here. She has already beaten a seeded player, Donna Vekic – the only time here that she dropped a set. After seeing off Clara Tauson in the quarter-finals, she will be confident of stopping another giant to reach her first final of the season. A 0-6 semi-final record on tour doesn’t favor her, though.  

Li comes here as the favorite, also being the more accomplished player of the two. She has a 6-3 record in semi-finals and after falling in the first this season, at Strasbourg, she will be looking to go all the way. In this encounter, the American is also making her second Monterrey semi-final showing. In her first, in 2021, she lost to Viktorija Golubic. Li eased her way here courtesy of a straight-set win against Alycia Parks, while she had easy passage after her second-round opponent Maria Timofeeva withdrew. It thus means she has played three hours fewer than Parry, which is to her advantage.
