We’re off to Colorado’s Ball Arena for Game 3 in the NBA Playoff series between the Denver Nuggets and Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night. The Thunder beat the Nuggets on Wednesday to level the series 1-1. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

After an excellent Game 1 performance, the Denver Nuggets were brought crashing back to earth in midweek when they were completely outplayed, outclassed, and beaten 149-106. 

Perhaps the short turnaround times between games are starting to show, as Denver looked way off it in Game 2. This was evidenced by Nikola Jokic only managing 17 points, a long way from his 44-point showing in Game 1. 

The Nuggets shot just 37.9% from the field and committed a whopping 20 turnovers. Michael Porter Jr had a terrible outing with only eight points, while Christian Braun added only six points. 

In contrast, after looking a little rusty after their extended layoff, the Oklahoma City Thunder reminded us why they were the best team in the NBA regular season.

OKC poured in 87 points in the first half - tying the NBA Playoff record for most points in a half - led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 34 points on 11 of 13 shooting from the field and perfect 11 of 11 from the free throw line. 

The Thunder shot 56% from the field and eight players ended the game in double digits, including all five starters, while Chet Holmgren continues to be a force on the defensive end.
