Chris Dobey and Cameron Menzies will meet in match three of round one at the 2025 Darts World Grand Prix at Mattioli Arena on Monday. Hollywood is ranked 8th, while Cammy is 33rd, according to the PDC World Rankings as of the cut-off date. Let’s get into the match prediction!
Chris Dobey enters this match as the clear favourite and will be aiming to reproduce his run in 2019 at this competition, when he reached the semi-final.
Hollywood has had a solid year, in which he won the PC17 against Dirk van Duijvenbode 8-7, picked up a nighty win in the Premier League in Rotterdam and reached the World Championship semis.
Dobey lost to Wessel Nijman in the quarter-final of the PC30 last week and has a record of seven wins and three defeats in his last 10 matches across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Cameron Menzies has had something of a breakthrough year in 2025 and will be hoping that this is the year he will find his first win at the World Grand Prix.
Cammy’s headline performance this year came when he took down Peter Wright 8-3 to win the PC11. He also made his debut at the World Matchplay this year.
Menzies was also eliminated by Nijman at the PC30 last week, which was his third loss in his last 10 matches. He has only beaten his upcoming opponent once in nine encounters.
